How we do businessConsultation and estimateOur working relationships begin with a short, informal conversation (usually by phone) where we try to determine whether our services might be a good match for your needs. We'll want to know what your site needs to do, whether or not you already have a site, and the general scope of the project. The next step is the initial consultation. There is no charge for this face-to-face meeting. During the meeting we discuss your project in more detail. We bring a list of questions to help guide the conversation. If you already have a website, we rate it beforehand with our RKI Usability Index and bring a short written assessment of your site's usability to the meeting. Shortly after the meeting we send you a written estimate for the project. We can discuss any questions or concerns about the estimate with you to help you make your decision. DevelopmentWhile we are working on your new site, we host it on our own server so you can remotely and confidentially view its progress. Most work on the site can take place over phone and email as we exchange ideas, text edits, page mockups, and so forth. Of course, we can also meet with you in person. HostingWe do not host our own sites. We can work with your existing web host; if you do not have a web host, we recommend FutureQuest. You will receive invoices directly from your host, not through us. We can work with your web host of choice if you have technical problems. MaintenanceThere is no monthly or annual maintenance fee for our sites. We simply bill our time for any changes or updates you request.
